Northern Highlands STEM Students Tour Triangle
High School students from Northern Highlands Regional High School in neighboring Allendale, had the opportunity to tour our facilities at 24 and 25 Park Way on Tuesday. What has become an annual event over the course of the past 27 years, the eighteen students were privileged to see first-hand the manufacturing process in action. The CAD 2 students, accompanied by their teacher Al Mugno, were led by a group of Triangle ambassadors onto the shop floors where they witnessed Triangle’s state-of-the-art machinery in real time. Afterwards, the group convened for a presentation by Triangle engineer Nick M., where he had on hand an array of implants, devices and components for the students to examine and hold in their hands.
Triangle has had a relationship with Northern Highlands for more than 27 years, where President Dax Strohmeyer was a student and star athlete. And the connections continue. There are numerous Triangle associates who are graduates of Northern Highlands, many of whom learned about Triangle Manufacturing years ago when they were on a student tour. And fittingly, our very own engineer Nick M., was reunited with his high school teacher Al Mugno during this year’s tour and presentation.
